Enter an ISBN, then copy the BibTeX entry or download a .bib file.

ISBN-10 and ISBN-13 both work. Spaces and hyphens are optional; ISBN-10 may end in X.

The structure of scientific revolutions — ISBN 9780226458113

@book{isbn9780226458113,
  title = {The structure of scientific revolutions},
  author = {{Thomas S. Kuhn}},
  publisher = {The University of Chicago Press},
  edition = {Fourth edition.},
  language = {eng},
  isbn = {9780226458113},
}

Check the year and edition against your copy. Missing dates appear as “n.d.” in APA.

From a book identifier to a .bib entry

Paste one ISBN above. On the result page, choose Copy BibTeX or Download BibTeX. The download is a UTF-8 .bib file that you can add to a LaTeX project or import into a reference manager. No account is needed.

Use the entry in LaTeX

Add the entry to your bibliography file and use its citation key in \cite{...}. BibTeX stores bibliographic fields; the bibliography style in your project controls the final appearance. Check your project's requirements before choosing a BibTeX or biblatex workflow.

Review the fields

Check the author, title, edition, publisher, and year against your book. Missing or disputed fields can be absent. Preserve applicable attribution comments in the download; they are outside the citation entry.

Use JSON from a script

The ISBN citation API returns BibTeX alongside four other styles in one request. The explicit BibTeX JSON example is useful when you need just that style. A valid ISBN with no citation returns 200 {found:false}; it ends the immediate lookup attempt.
